Guadalupe Mountains

When I decided to move to Texas,  I immediately began looking for outdoor things to enjoy.  I found that there wasn't that much in the area but closer then the alternatives was the Guadalupe Mountains.  I just had to hike them. They did not disappoint.
It began very brushy and cactus was everywhere, but in a short time, the beauty engulfed us.
The guys had to get their picture in...
I had to jump in....
I made new friends. We all loved the hiking, I enjoyed the rock climbing more then some, and we all drank from the fresh spring. I can't wait to go back!

Rattlesnake Round-up

We don't do a whole lot of "Texan" things,  but since I won't be in this area for long,  might as well see what it's all about. It was a fun day, but I wouldn't do it every year. It was similar to going to the fair,  but with snakes. Here's some pictures of the famous Rattlesnake Round-up in Sweetwater, Texas.

I learned a lot about rattlesnakes, wanted to taste rattlesnake, but the line was crazy, and had fun riding some rides (until I got sick).
Time with
friends is always time well spent.
Wait, is that Lois Griffin?
